Overview:
\nThe Logistics Specialist will provide comprehensive logistics and material management support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) . This position plays a critical role in ensuring the proper disposition, accountability, and certification of government materials in accordance with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services (DLADS) and Navy requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate and manage the full spectrum of logistics processes across operational, acquisition, and wholesale environments. \n

• \n\n

  Direct integrated logistics efforts, develop and implement support policies, procedures, and systems, and provide program guidance.

  \n\n
\n
• \n\n

  Prepare and enforce directives to ensure effective logistics and material management support.

  \n\n
\n
• \n\n

  Establish and maintain standards to ensure the assigned workforce is properly trained and equipped.

  \n\n
\n
• \n\n

  Develop, initiate, integrate, and manage logistics actions supporting life cycle management of weapons systems, subsystems, and equipment.

  \n\n
\n
• \n\n

  Coordinate with material custodians and DLA Disposition Services (DLADS) for proper material disposal and documentation.

  \n\n
\n
• \n\n

  Generate DD Form 1348-1s and ensure compliance with DLA disposal and certification requirements.

  \n\n
\n\n\n \n

Required Qualifications:

\n
\n
• \n Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  \n
\n
• \n Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in the disposal of government materials.
  \n
\n
• \nMinimum three (3) years of experience working with DLA Disposition Services (DLADS) , generating DD-1348-1 forms, and coordinating directly with custodians.
  \n
\n
• \nFamiliarity with DLA disposal certification requirements and ability to obtain certification from on-site subject matter experts.
  \n
\n
• \nStrong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications:

\n
\n
• \n

  Experience identifying and categorizing government materials.

  \n
\n

• Working knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

\n

• Prior experiecne supporting Navy or DoD logistics programs .

Clearance & Eligibility:

\n
• \n

  Active Secret Clearance required.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Must be a U.S. Citizen .

  \n
\n
