Responsibilities:

• Lead and assist in boat operations, navigation in and out of harbors and shipyards.
• Ability to maneuver small boats to dock and undock, to come along side other vessels.
• Shipboard support to include knowledge of launching and recovery of small boats. (17’-28’)
• Position will be a part of an established Marine Operations division that supports oil spill response, oil containment boom deployment, and line handling.
• Assist in other non-small boat operations on occasion, including but not limited to, general automotive mechanic tasks, vacuum truck logistics, sewer/drain cleaning.
• Candidate can expect to be trained in functions beyond normal operations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Trade school training a plus.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Possess valid state driver’s license, Commercial Driver License is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain TWIC and DBIDS badges.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Minimum of 1 year general mechanical and/or boat operations experience.
• Experience with driving pickup trucks with trailers on the road and in enclosed or limited spaces.
• Flexibility on hours/schedule due to customers’ requirements.

Working Conditions:

• Full-Time Position, with excellent benefit packages available.
• Accurate Marine Environmental is a 24/7 Oil Spill Response Organization. With that, the candidate should be aware they will be on call for any emergency responses.
• Small boat operators can expect to be working in various conditions, including but not limited to, wind, rain, snow, and hot/cold temperatures.
