Duration: 6 Months

Hours: (10-15/week)

Position Overview

We seek a creative and organized intern to assist with social media management and event planning tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in gaining experience in digital marketing, event coordination, and nonprofit work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Social Media Management: Assist in managing the Center's social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), including content creation, scheduling posts, and engaging with followers.
  • Content Creation: Help develop engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, to promote the Center's mission and events.
  • Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, community outreach programs, and other special events.
  • Research: Conduct research on social media trends, best practices, and potential event venues or partners.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks related to event planning and social media, such as organizing materials, managing RSVPs, and tracking social media metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO to ensure alignment with the Center's goals and branding.
Learning Opportunities

  • Learn the ins and outs of event planning and coordination within a nonprofit setting.
  • Develop skills in content creation, including graphic design and video editing.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Strong familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Creativity and a passion for social media and event planning.
  • Interest in nonprofit work and mental health advocacy is a plus
