Job Description

A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available at a K-12 school in Reading, PA. This contract position covers the full school year (NSY) and requires onsite presence. The role involves managing and supporting multiple caseloads of students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive individualized educational support in compliance with their IEPs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs across K-12 grade levels.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success and inclusion.
• Monitor academic progress and behavior, providing assessments and documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working with K-12 students with a range of disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavior management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
• Capability to manage multiple caseloads efficiently.

This full-time position offers great hourly compensation paid weekly. Multiple caseload opportunities are available, allowing for flexibility in assignment preferences.
