Staff Engineer – Planning and Analysis Group

Are you passionate about water systems and ready to launch your career in civil engineering? RH2 is seeking a Summer/Fall 2025 or 2026 graduate with a strong foundation in Hydrology and Hydrodynamics to join our Planning and Analysis group as a Staff Engineer in our Bothell, WA office. This team plays a key role in delivering drinking water and wastewater planning, analysis, and hydraulic modeling services—either as standalone projects or as essential support for facility design and construction for our clients.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct hydraulic modeling and system analysis for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, including pump stations and reservoirs.
  • Develop comprehensive plans and technical reports for municipal water and sewer systems.
  • Provide engineering support for the planning, design, and construction of public infrastructure—water, sewer, stormwater, roadways, and irrigation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (focus in Hydrology and Hydrodynamics preferred).
  • EIT certification strongly preferred; willingness and ability to obtain P.E. license when eligible.
  • Interest in public sector consulting, especially in drinking water and wastewater planning and modeling.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality, accurate work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with—or desire to learn—industry tools such as WaterGEMS, InfoWater Pro, SewerGEMS, PC-SWMM, ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD, and other design or modeling software.

Compensation counts:

RH2 has an excellent multi-component compensation package built to recognize and financially reward our employees' contributions throughout their career with the company. Individual base compensation starts at around $35.00/hour but can vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position.
