\n\nJob Details:
\n• This is a charge nurse position on a medical surgical unit
\n• Patient ratio: 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
\n• Work every other weekend
\n• Floating to other similar units required
\n• No call requirements
\n• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
\n• Holiday coverage required based on assignment period
\n• Patient population: adolescents to geriatrics
\n• Medical surgical unit with remote telemetry and potential medical surgical diagnoses
\n• Must have 1 year minimum experience (first timers accepted)
\n• BLS certification required
\n• Epic charting system required (also uses Pyxis and SBAR)
\n• Navy blue scrubs required
\n• 24 hours of orientation provided
\n• Must be able to work with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
\n• Skills required include blood product administration, central line management, chest tubes, colostomy care, telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, and various other medical surgical competencies
\n• Must complete compliance requirements and be available to submit documentation within 48 hours of contract signing

\nThis healthcare facility operates a 38-bed medical surgical unit with an average daily census of 33 patients. The facility provides comprehensive medical surgical care with remote telemetry monitoring capabilities and maintains modern technology systems including Epic charting. The unit offers extensive interdisciplinary support services and follows evidence-based protocols for patient care delivery.
