Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The truck driver role will assist as needed with both driving and with warehouse operations.

• Have reliable transportation to get to and from work

• Good communication / customer service skills

• Ability to multitask and possess written skills

• Team player, ability to take direction, and positive attitude

• Occasional building maintenance and vehicle maintenance, if candidate has experience in these areas is a bonus.

• Organize parts inventory in warehouse.

• Delivery / pick up of customer units (over the road truck/trailer combo)

• Delivery / pick up of customer semi-trailers with company tractor

• Delivery / pick up of customer replacement parts with company pickup truck.

• DOT and non-DOT truck and trailer inspections

• Loading and strapping in load / off loading

• Face to face customer interactions

• Managing vehicle documentation including timesheets, pre-trip inspection sheets

• Load and unload trucks with forklift.

• Assist warehousing and production as needed when hauling is not required.

• Performs other related duties as directed.

Requirements

Experience, Education, and Licensure/Certification Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Must have and maintain class A CDL Driver's License

• Have a clean MVR and be insurable by company auto policy

• No moving infractions within past two years

• At least two years of work experience in a warehouse required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to work additional days and overtime as required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.

• Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.

• Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistently meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to work in a fast paced, loud, and labor-intensive environment in variable temperatures (from outdoor heat to indoor refrigerated coolers).

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

• Must have the ability to move around the warehouse.

• Must have visual acuity (ability to see well and close up) to visually sort hops.

$20.80/Hr
