ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Henderson, Kentucky.

\nRN - Med Surg
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
\n• 36 guaranteed hours per week (48-hour contracts available upon request with overtime after 52 hours)
\n• Every third weekend and every other holiday required
\n• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to Deaconess Newburgh campus (8 miles) and potentially Deaconess Midtown (11 miles) with 2-hour notice
\n• Mid-shift float within same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float unlikely but possible
\n• No on-call or call-back requirements
\n• Patient ratio: Days 1:4-5 patients
\n• 45-bed unit serving general medical/surgical patients including gallbladder, colectomy, appendectomy, hip/knee replacements, orthopedic procedures, COVID, GI bleeds, CHF, COPD, sepsis, UTI, and respiratory conditions
\n• Must wear navy blue scrubs with no competing health system or agency logos
\n• Required skills: PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, drip management (heparin, cardizem), PEGs/NGs, ostomy care, remote telemetry, blood product administration, NIHSS/dysphagia screening
\n• Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills
\n• Two years of strong Med/Surg experience and one travel assignment required
\n• Recent EPIC experience required with mandatory checkoff class
\n• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
\n• Associate degree or certificate required
\n• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
\n• Three call-ins can result in termination
